2.6%. I just put some cash from options into high tech ETFs. I don’t have a target for cash. I accumulate cash from dividends, options, and the sale of stocks until I have enough to make a purchase and then I spend it. Rinse, repeat. I should note that I have some additional cash that is not in my portfolio account.

When I tried to roll my 401-K into a self-directed IRA I had it convert it into cash first. That has yet to be redeployed.
That is the long way og saying 26%.

I have a bit under 5% in cash.
I too just rolled my 401K into IRA and had to go to cash in that. After having this strong move since the election and entering summer, I am slow rolling it. Smart people are 100% in stocks until they are near retirement, then maybe put 3-4 years in super safe investments so they can stay in stocks with their other investment money. Saul is 100% no matter what it seems.
Long story short, I am 40-45% cash, which is probably stupid. I will be pushing it back in with regularity hoping to get lucky. Why didn’t I immediately redeploy it? Just trying to make you smart guys richer.
Puddinhead,
Why didn’t I immediately redeploy it? Just trying to make you smart guys richer.
Don’t forget it makes them look smarter.
After covering my options, 5.5%
