Humanoid Droids are here and being sold

That bike looks like a bigger version of the things Honda was building a decade ago, and were used in this piece.

Then it is not “humanoid”. Can’t get around on its own, can’t do many of the things one considers to be “humanoid”. Which means if one part is “humanoid”, so are all the other parts–or not? No requirement to have the “intelligence” in the head…

If they figure out how to keep someone alive with just their head, does that make them non-human?

Some people do not have any intelligence in (any of) their head(s).

That, necessarily, makes them a cyborg, a melding of human mind with mechanisms. A brain is almost always posited as part of the “human package” side of cyborgs, but very advanced AI attracts a lot of SF fan support, especially when imagining quasi-immortal beings.

I do think cyborgs are extremely interesting conceptually, and could be potent both economically and militarily.
