Immigration Reform in Congress

Help me understand. Are you saying that every person who tries to come to the US from Guatemala or Venezuela, as a for-instance, has a target painted on their own back by the mob? A mob whose reach extends into Mexico, but not the US?

Or are most of the immigrants simply tired of the violence, corruption, and poverty, and looking for a place to live in peace? Would Mexico provide that peaceful place to live, unless they are on a mob hit list?

Re: refugees from Central America coming through Mexico

Close. The ferocious gangs in Central America live off child and teenage “recruits” whom they put at risk. My town in central Mexico is on one of the main routes al Norte because of the main train line that comes through. I help many of them in small ways (taking a pair of brothers, the 9 year old younger one severely ill of bronchial pneuomnia, to a sympathetic doctor for care), and give out sox and toiletries to some of them. One pair of kids were in despereate fear as the Salvadoran gang that was after them had sent an “enforcer” after them to murder them, setting example for others back home. I gave them a lift to a rural bus stop and bought them tickets to a very town well to our West so as to throw the pursuit off the trail. That’s refugees.

Regarding economic strivers, the crux is USA employers dangle the ENORMOUS incentive of well paid work to those who can make it in. The only way to cut that is to go after the employers tossing around the money

I hired hundreds of people in the 90’s through 2011. The I-9 used to have a line at the bottom saying there was a 10k fine for falsifying any part of the document. The fine would be my responsibility, not the companies. I always made sure the documents that the applicant was providing looked authentic, and I made copies for the file.

I looked at an I-9 online a few weeks ago out of curiosity and that line is gone. I wonder when and why it was removed.

“Protected free speech” at work.

Of course, why only the HR person, not the company, was liable, was a second layer of protection for the “JC”. Wells Fargo, for one, has shown what pressure from the “JC” will do to personal ethics.

I think they want to build a wall so they can keep people from leaving the United States. It’s a conspiracy to make America more like old Russia.

Now I just need to get on Qanon and pass it on. They will suck that right up.
