There seem to be openings in many blue collar jobs. We don’t promote them properly. Don’t respect them. Talk them down.
How do we change that?
In Germany technicians who apprentice and don’t go to college are highly respected. Why not here?

I really do think its close to that simple, although people who show no respect will simply say

The Shinies have been pushing “traditional family values”, for decades, as the solution to all ills: push women out of the work force, impose government enforced religion, defund education, remove the “social safety net”.
If the Proles were priced out of college, they would have no choice but learn trades. If there was no social safety net, the Proles would simply work until they died. Multiple problems solved in one stroke, by preventing the Proles even attempting to rise above “their place”.
