Steve Jobs Would Have Celebrated His 71st Birthday Today

Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, so today would have marked his 71st birthday if he hadn’t passed away in 2011 at the age of 56.

Think about that. He’s been gone for as long as he was CEO of the company. One can only imagine what new and exciting things Apple might have done over the past 15 years - especially given the 15 years that preceded his death. Stores, phones, color computers, iPods, and more.

Even better, he might be standing against the increasing bloat that infects his products; it’s almost like Microsoft of the 90’s “If we can code it, we’re going to jam it in, right up until the user can’t possibly remember where everything is.”

My particular beef: the new iOS26; my iPad simply hates it, screen flashes of past apps, freezing, infinitely spinning icons. Blah. What ever happened to Keep It Simple Stupid. Oh right, he died 15 years ago.

Pity.
