It's officially official

I wonder how much education funding will be diverted from education, to buying new classroom maps, globes, and geography text books, to conform with the new decree? Or, will all hard copies of everything be eliminated, in favor of electronic sources that can be changed with a flick of the wrist, to reflect the current concept of reality?

Steve…long a company that produces canned, electronic, course material.

The US merchant marine is almost extinct, except for the few ships protected by the Jones Act. I am sure, however, that, like the new Commandant of the Coast Guard, USN ships will all be required to comply with the decree.

No logical or reasonable person will start using some other name. On its face, the stupidity is astounding.

But that’s the entire point. It is a loyalty test. If you use logic and reason in your decision making process your decisions might not along with those of the Reichskanzler. Therefore, if you don’t use the approved code words you will be identified as disloyal. Picking something so astoundingly stupid as a loyalty test is actually very smart. Those followers have to be willing to publicly embarrass themselves by using the wrong terms. The willingness to embarrass yourself publicly is a good loyalty test.

This is an old playbook. For example, the German word for television used to be “television.” It was changed to “Fernsehen” in the 1930s as a loyalty test. Those not using the correct terminology were identified as subversive and dealt with accordingly.

They will, when it’s a condition of keeping their job. Just like agreeing that Radio Shack product really was worth 40% more than identical product at Best Buy.

Exactly. When I was composing the post I started using a business analogy, but I felt it wasn’t a business topic.

They don’t want people who make decisions based on logic and reason. They want people who make decisions based on loyalty. If you want to keep your job, you have to present yourself as a spinless imbecile. Preserving your dignity doesn’t pay the mortgage.

It is. The last week has been giving me flashbacks, to the pump seal company and RS, in particular. People wonder why so many once prominent USian companies, like RS, are now gone. They were run into the ground by their own, delusional, “JCs”. Now we have a “JC” In Chief, who fits the same mold.

I would use the GOM (Gulf of Morots).

Exactly. The guy went bankrupt four times running a casino. You have to be a very special kind of stupid to want to apply that type of acumen to public policy.

And again, he made the exact same promises in 2016 and promptly exploded the budget and deficit. I’m scratching my head trying to figure out how any human could be so dumb as to believe him the second time. As a guess, I’d say you have to have an IQ of less than 80 to be conned so easily.

Since he won even the popular vote this time, and the average is 100, that explanation doesn’t seem to hold up.

Nah. If all the people with 80 or less voted one way, and all the people with 120 or more voted another (or didn’t vote at all) you could still end up with an average of 100, they’d just be segmented by (rhymes with Boron)-ness.

That’s the percentage of those who were conned. A shocking number of people know exactly what is happening and are on board with it.
