Yes, it is. Just not routine maintenance on every vehicle.

The economics of EVs is pretty simple.

They typically cost more up front to purchase or lease, but cost less to operate. Whether that’s better for any individual is going to vary. Someone who drives very little will take longer to recoup their higher up front costs with lower operating costs. Someone who drives more will recoup that cost faster.

If that longer time to recoup the costs goes beyond the useful life of the vehicle, it doesn’t make sense to buy one.
