The restrictor in my shower head is plastic. I just drilled the orifice larger.
Our shower head, valves were from a remodel we did in 2017, bought vis build, com, so met whatever the flow rate allowed was back then, a Moen setup, temp control valve, so it adjusts if someone flushes while you are in the shower, you don’t notice it at all, unlike the old days when it would nearly scald you! Can’t find the pdf file on it to check the flow, but whatever it is, is OK, didn’t bother with trying to bypass whatever restrictor is in there, also has a handheld, seem also the be good…
I have run into restrictions s far as Amazon shipping to CA, but the kitchen hose was the weird one… The new replacement has a button on the spray head, opens it up full blast to where it splashes all over, whether steaming or spraying, old one was never that strong, so a win after all…
