Large turkey flock on farm--bird flu

Farm with almost 290k turkeys in MN found with bird flu. All to be destroyed. No idea about other turkey operations as MN is #1 grower of turkeys. Second flock with bird flu found maybe 100 miles away–backyard flock, not a large commercial operation. Likely allowed to roam outside, so bird flu not a major surprise.

Eggs could also go up dramatically (seeing it already) if the laying chicken farms get hard hit.

Bird flu is spread via wild birds, so the only way to protect flocks is to have them grown in a closed environment with no contact to outside contamination (treated/filtered air and water, etc).
