Level 4 FSD operating on Texas highways

This Aurora system that is now operating tractor-trailers between Houston and Dallas is Level 4. Hard to believe that Tesla’s system isn’t also Level 4.

Not hard to believe at all. Aurora uses LiDAR and Tesla doesn’t. I am not confident that a camera-only system will ever work at level 4 or 5.

Benz also uses LiDAR for their lvl3 approved car.

AI is improving exponentially. We may have FSD based just on the sense of smell.

{{ In preparation for the ride-hailing service to launch, Tesla has been in talks with the City of Austin for months. It has also spent recent months bolstering its Full Self-Driving suite, aiming for it to handle initially supervised rides with the use of teleoperators to keep things safe and dependable, at least early on. }}

So the plan is to loose FSD robotaxis on Austin streets without an in-car safety driver? (i.e., “initially supervised rides with the use of teleoperators”.)

You didn’t hear? They already have that.

You forced me to post this.
