It was the third major blackout in Cuba over the past four months.
Of course, this means hospitals will probably stop functioning soon. Just curious, why are we threatening a small island that is absolutely no threat, ideologically or militarily, to the U.S.
On a positive note, maybe Cuban cigars will become legal to buy again. Then again, the price will probably shoot up 10x when they become legal. Bummer. And there will be brand name battles as major Cuban brands, such as Cohiba and Monte Cristo, have non-Cuban equivalents (except the non-Cuban equivalents are horrible).
Although I tend to follow the law, I have no problem buying illegal Cuban cigars. I’m not supporting the Cuban economy, I’m burning their crops.
My plan to go on 8-day eBike tour of Cuba was put on hold because of failed powergrid. Can’t charge the batteries at night. If I didn’t have a bad knee I could use a regular bike.
“Cuban Adventures” has all sorts of Cuba tours. You gotta jump thru a couple hoops but is a full ongoing business.
Wastewater treatment will stop, so it will flow out into the ocean, 100 miles south Florida, and the current flows towards Florida. More “genius” decisions. And on and on and on….
