LNG Infrastructure news

Though it typically involves a floating vessel, I don’t think of floating LNG (FLNG) projects as shipping. This story details the expansion of an existing FLNG project - extension of Coral LNG Project => Coral North FLNG Project

The capacity is 3.5 MTPA and doubles the production capacity of the field. The first part of the Coral FLNG project was a build-to-spec vessel. Though not mentioned, I assume the partners will likely lean on the same yard/vendor for the second FLNG asset. I mention this because 3.5 MTPA is the capacity of Golar’s FLNG Mark II technology i.e. the ongoing LNG-tanker-conversion-to-FLNG asset work (Fuji tanker)
