Manufacturing Recession Led by Small Manufacturers "Destaffing"

“Destaffing” is the entire story. The US economy will spiral down from here.

The “uncertainty” is from the top because no matter how resolute the pretending is he does not know what he is doing. He is confused and unintelligent.

When is the press going to state as much?

Nothing new. The ISM manufacturing index has been weak for over two years.

But the net major layoffs were not happening.

The linked article said nothing about manufacturing employment or layoffs. Do you have some data?

They remind us that until recently we had help wanted signs everywhere. Employers were struggling to find people willing to come to work. Yes, they may cautious about new hiring but they are probably not eager to trim staff until they see the numbers.

All those laid off govt workers might be out there looking to fill available slots. You wonder if that will push up unemployment numbers.

Not if they are not counted as unemployed by the DOL and its “new rules” about who is defined/classified as unemployed.

I think the stats come from those who file for unemployment benefits.

If you are laid off, its hard to imagine not qualifying for unemployment. But those who expect to be called back soon might be reluctant to file.

They called it “destaffing.”

OK. Do we have some data on “restaffing”?

DB2

We will have the data getting into April and May.

These ideas being implemented are straight up stupid.

Multi-truckload order of 87-cent pills needed for their “restaffing”.
