Looking at expat gringos remote working in Mexico on a per capita basis, Mexico City is dwarfed by San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Escondido, Cabo San Lucas…and yes, it drives up costs for the locals but also gives a potent boost to the local economies.

The internet is only beginning to show its full impact on how the world functions. Being able to live where you please, often quite cheaply, while “zooming in” to expensive power metropolises is just beginning to show its power.
