It is difficult to figure out the source of the information, but there is a piece in NextGov talking about the Cyber Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Solar Winds hack (dated January 29). A couple of interesting bits. 1) Microsoft’s was the only cloud service that the agency knows to have been targeted. 2) Microsoft saw a $10B increase in spending on its security business over the last year. 3)Solar Winds appears to be pushing back a bit on the idea that they were the ones who were initially compromised, raising the possibility that the problem originated in the Microsoft ecosystem before spreading to Solar Winds. No mention of CRWD in the article, but I thought those interested in CRWD might find this useful.
