Tesla is trying to use a piece of property in Australia, near Adelaide, in order to build a battery factory and Tesla showroom. But it’s facing steep opposition from locals, most of whom cite dissatisfaction with Tesla CEO Elon Musk as their reason to oppose the project.

Electric vehicle (EV) sales in Australia have nearly doubled in the first half of 2024

Although EV adoption is showing positive trends in Australia with a 57% increase in public charging locations, it still lags behind global averages with only 3.8% of all new car sales being electric

OK it is still early days for the EV in Australia.

Competition is Gaining a foothold though.

Agreed to the extent that Aussies should let Musk build his facilities (within normal regulations) and then let the market do its work.

Aussies will buy the end products or not.
