Education brings an increase in one’s standard of living, which results in a lower birth rate. Low birth rates in industrialized nations requires (in the absence of AI controlled automated industry) high rates of immigration which, in turn, dilutes and frequently causes resentment in the incumbent population.
Some countries, like Dubai, keep immigrants at the servant level and never give them (or their children) citizenship or retirement benefits, but many Western nations allow them (or their decedents) to become citizens resulting in long term demographic changes.
