There are a slew of Youtube videos lately breathlessly proclaiming that the Apple iPhone is dead - long live the NVIDIA NeoPhone!
What most fail to mention is that the NeoPhone doesn’t exist as a product yet. It’s rumored to be built around NVIDIA’s Blackwell X “Reuben” mobile chip (I think that’s the rumored name), which is specifically tailored to be an AI powerhouse. “Pocket size AI computer that can run huge AI models directly on the device, keeping all data local.” That’s something the iPhone already does, and will only continue to do better and better!
I’ll believe that the NeoPhone is a threat when I see one announced and reviewed. Until then, I’m not selling any Apple stock.
Whatever ‘feature’ this widget comes along with is likely offset by the continuing development already in the pipeline(s) at Apple… Not concerned, still holding…
We’re still on 15’s, haven’t seen the need to upgrade for now, so far more interested in keeping in the software stream as we move that up, that would push me to move on up… Bought new AirPods, still need to do their setups, hearing tests n such… One of these days…
Well my NVDA position is about the same size as my AAPL, so I’m covered either way. They serve different purposes in my portfolio. Apple is, in my mind, one of my blue chip companies, one of my safer bets. Nvidia is my leading growth position, which it is fulfilling quite nicely.
As for my iPhone 14 Pro Max, I’m perfectly happy with it. I just declined the first offer of an update to a 26 version of iOS.
