Netanyahu is demanding Hamas leadership be exiled, for Gaza to be demilitarized, and for Israel to continue maintaining “security control” of the Strip, which would mean a continued Israeli military occupation or blockade.

For now. If Gazans live peaceably with Israel that would not be the case of a blockade and military presence.
The Jordanians and Palestinian Israeli citizens know this. In other words, most Palestinians know freedom, democracy, and security with Israel.

Trump has offered US occupation. That might work but another era of truck bombs is likely–unless Palestineans decide to support peace with Israel.
Otherwise the conflict with Israel continues at some level with no end in sight.
Geez, this has only been going on for about 2,000+ years.

Not even then. Even if one accepted the above framing, there’s a non-trivial faction that is committed to the Jews being expelled from the region. There was a chance to have a peaceful (if traumatic) Partition in 1948, like the Indian-Pakistani Partition - but that time has probably passed.

They chose to stay in those camps rather than leave. Then again, you did not even mention the 2000+ years the Israelis were forced from their homeland. You know, as documented in the Bible. Or do you have problems with it NOW? LOL !!!

In Venezuelan law possession of land or real estate for 2 or 3 years (I don’t recall the exact time) gives the squatters property rights which makes it very important to keep out “invaders” as they are called.
A global statute of limitations would be very helpful. Does it really matter what happened two or four millennia ago? Eleven years ago?
Venezuelan law considers “antiques” objects that are 80 years or older for tax purposes. Eighty years is three to four generations, sounds like a good number for the global statute of limitations.
