Ad buyers are mostly pulling their growing Amazon spend from other digital platforms, the survey found…
The ad buyers ranked Amazon third for return on investment, after Google Search and Bing. Advertisers praised the conversion rates on Amazon, since it’s the only one of the top advertising platforms that can directly connect ads to purchases on the same page.
Cowen analyst John Blackledge estimates Amazon’s ad revenue will reach $13.7 billion this year, up 56% from last year. He sees that rising to $43.2 billion by 2024. That’s a compound annual growth rate of 26%. Blackledge forecasts that global digital advertising spending this year, overall, will top $305 billion. that’s up 17% from last year. He sees that rising to $515 billion in 2024.
None of this mentions Tradedesk, perhaps not big enuf to be part of the survey. But look at the sheer numbers of Amazon ad rev. It is already 25x that of TTD and growing at the same 50%+ rate.
