Again, never lose sight of the difference between the token (the NFT) and the asset (in this case, the domain). While people are indeed claiming that they’re “selling domains as NFT’s,” that’s not always what’s going on. Again, since the token is not the asset, what some of them are actually selling is just an NFT (the token), which comes with set of services to resolve that token into a domain. When you buy the NFT, you’re not necessarily buying an enforceable right to the services. So if for some reason, they decide to stop providing the services that actually make that NFT operate as a domain…well, you’re kind of stuck. You own your NFT, and no one can take that away from you…but the NFT won’t resolve to anything, and is utterly useless for any purpose.
