NTNX reports

expected loss of 26 cents, actual loss was 16 cents
expected revenue of 267 million, actual 275 million
most stuff looks like it grew about 40%
they are guiding in the 280 range for next quarter.

stock is up probably because they said something a long the lines of focusing on selling software (which is their high margin business). They keep saying, “look at what the business would be if we weren’t selling hardware” . They call it “pass through hardware sells” in an attempt to distance themselves from their hardware business. I understand why they are doing it as their numbers look a whole lot better if they are a software business but I want them to show that they can sell software only before we consider them a software company. Having said that, I’ll be increasing my allocation to NTNX.
