DW renewed her passport this spring online. Only issue was getting a photo to upload. Went to the Walgreen’s and asked for a passport photo and they emailed a downloadable file. Went to upload online and they kept rejecting it, saying something about the background even though it was the standard plain white pull down screen. Anyway, fiddled with the contrast and it finally accepted.

I renewed online this past winter. Went to a UPS store to get the photo taken. I had them email me a jpeg plus give me a hard copy just in case the jpeg wasn’t accepted. But it worked just fine and I had the passport in 2 weeks rather than the 6 weeks they said it would take.

I renewed mine last year. Yes, photo is the big issue. Must be on white background and sized to fit. I tried several times to post my own photo but with no luck. Went to UPS office but staff on duty couldn’t do it. Walgreen’s photo was accepted.
