Is the battery a problem around a pacemaker?
No problems. In fact the pacemaker has a similar battery much much MUCH closer to it! 
The same sort of battery is not the thing.
The issue is having another second EMF near your pacemaker battery. Like turning on the microwave and standing too close.
Or some of the static a radio can pick up because CPUs are in the microwave frequencies now. EMF is a small headache.
