Peloton is about to begin effectively charging customers more for its original Bike and Tread products, citing inflation and heightened supply chain costs.
Beginning Jan. 31, the company will be asking customers to pay an additional $250 for delivery and setup for its Bike, and an additional $350 for its Tread, according to a banner on its website.
That will bring the costs for those products up to $1,745 and $2,845, respectively.

I’ve seen the Peloton commercials. I judge them to be similar to Nordic Track equipment. Well made but vastly over priced. Apparently Peloton does not wish the Covid crisis to go to waste & is doubling down.

$250 is what I paid for my new bike at WalMart last fall, which I now own, free and clear, with no subscriptions for anything.

And my bike doesn’t have a TV on it that only shows one channel, people yelling at you.

fell off the sofa laffing at the “bike of shame” ad a few years ago.

Hate to think how much money people waste on utter nonsense, but every dollar adds to someone’s profit, so it goes on.
