The Rivian R1T electric pickup truck scored higher than Tesla in a new J.D. Power customer-satisfaction survey.
It is the first time Tesla didn’t top the list since the survey was launched two years ago.
Brent Gruber, executive director of J.D. Power’s electric vehicle practice, said the results were surprising, but they show a shift in how people judge electric cars. They are more focused on how it looks and how well it drives than on battery range, a key factor in the past, he said.
