I have not seen mention of RNG as a competitor to ZM. This new partnership sounds a lot like what ZM phone does. This to me is further confirmation of the New WFH world. RingCentral, Inc. is a provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for businesses to support modern communications.

RNG is up 5% on this deal which will only be available to start in the UK. This shows a significant international opportunity for ZM.

Vodafone Business and RingCentral will initially introduce new services to customers located in the United Kingdom

Gartner has recognized RingCentral as a Leader in the 2020 Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, Worldwide report.

I also would like to know how ZM fits in with Slack and if Slack uses ZM as a platform, Salesforce buying Slack may provide additional support in the competition with MS Teams, since CRM is growing competition to MSFT.

RNG uses Zoom to power their platform. I imagine Zoom is getting paid for this.

Slack and Zoom have partnered together for a while now. Don’t know if CRM acquisition will change that, but, I don’t see why it would. So, if Slack gains ground within the CRM universe, it could (should?) benefit Zoom as well.

RNG and Zoom have stopped collaborating and are out and out competitors, since May 2020. RNG introduced their own video and Zoom introduced their own PBX (ie Zoom phone).

Marc Benioff mentioned Slack and Zoom today as essentially pillars (he didn’t use this word) to the new digital enterprise today in his Dreamforce keynote.

Zoom is partnered with Lumen tin this space. This brings Zoom an opportunity to grow amongst Lumens existing business customers, separate from Zoom’s solo offerings.
