The war is now affecting more and more aspects of Russian life - price rises, high interest rates and the possibility of not being able to heat their homes this winter - this could grow into something much more dangerous for Putin.

Ironically, I was in Leningrad for 2 weeks in May of 1991. Interesting times. The day I flew home, they voted to change the name to St. Petersburg.

We were there 2017 (Sept) after taking the train up from Moscow. Interesting country but I wouldn’t want to be there now!
