RUSSIA ON THE RUN INVADERS PUSHED BACK TO BORDER

Jaak,

Just remember that the source of your information, “the defence intelligence of Ukraine’s military of defence” has a vested interest in providing misinformation. I’m not saying that what you posted is necessarily a lie, but there is also a reasonable probability that it is far from the complete truth.

I fear a retaliatory response worse than anything the world has seen.

Putin: ‘Ok Zelensky, enjoy your pretty flags flying over your rubble. Now, “we will bury you” in an artillery barrage as you’ve never seen.’

Prayers for Ukraine - no Pollyannas here. Putin will not let this humiliation stand, and he will not step down / be forced out. Maybe the clock just started ticking to the next invasion, or worse.

an artillery barrage as you’ve never seen

But Russian artillery is shorter range than HIMARS and also M777, and those extra powerful accurate long range artillery have been a huge part of the war story for the last two months as those mightier hammers have arrived, been deployed with eager newly trained artillerymen, and started hammering Russian kids to death.

Putin will WANT to, but unless he goes nuclear he will not be able to.

Now tactical nuclear is well worth fearing, but not backing down to. If those do go, KILL PUTIN and all those unfortunates and idiots and power mad wacks who hang with him. Try to spare the poor Russkie soldiers, but not at the cost of losing Ukrainians.

Rapid loss of territory in Ukraine reveals spent Russian military

Moscow’s rapid loss of more than 2,300 square miles of territory in northeastern Ukraine has raised the prospect that the Russian military is spent as an offensive force for the foreseeable future, which could limit Russian President Vladimir Putin to defending the Ukrainian territory he already holds while leaving him open to additional defeats, according to military analysts.

The situation is a sobering reality for Putin, whose forces barreled into Ukraine on Feb. 24 on a mission to “demilitarize” and “denazify” the country but retreated from Kyiv just over five weeks later to concentrate on expanding control over Ukraine’s east through artillery warfare.

As Ukrainian forces roll back those eastern gains, Putin faces obstacles in replenishing the battered ranks and degraded equipment of his military to any degree that would allow Russia to again take the initiative on the battlefield.

The result is an opportunity for Ukrainian forces, which despite significant losses of their own, are hoping to make more territorial gains before winter conditions harden battle lines. Further gains by Ukraine — particularly around the southern city of Kherson — would deal additional blows to Russian morale and increase pressure on Putin, who is already facing calls by hard-line Russians to announce a general mobilization that could be politically toxic for his regime.

The rapid collapse of the Russian front around Kharkiv in recent days “reflects the structural problems with manpower and low morale in an overstretched Russian military,” said Michael Kofman, a Russian military analyst at Virginia-based research group CNA.

The VERY worst thing the West can do is allow nuclear threats to produce gains for those threatening their use.

Tru dat!

It would result in a world of Brinkmanship which would, eventually, end in one side or the other accidentally launching an attack which would require the offended nation to respond in kind in order to maintain its creditability.

keep in mind, Lukashenko owes Putin a favor, for Putin’s help in putting down protests against Lukashenko’s dictatorship.

Hopefully the Chechnian forces can be called into keep order in Moscow.

Only if Putin’s check clears.

Only if Putin’s check clears.

My bad, I read that as, “only if Putin tears”.
