Howdy,
When I scan a document, they get scanned sideways and I don’t know how to save them so they are readable on the computer. I know how to rotate the view so they are readable right side up, but when I save them once I do that, they don’t save them as changed. Do you know how to do that anyone?
Thanks,
Rick
I haven’t a clue myself, but at a minimum I suggest you add some specifics, such as:
Whether the originals are portrait or landscape.
What device you use to scan.
Whether they are being displayed portrait or landscape.
What you device and OS are using when viewing them.
Phone? Android or iPhone? Android tablet or iPad? Macintosh? Windows PC?
What software you are using on that device to view them.
And then there is this: rotate and save pdf - Google Search
One way is to convert the pdf to jpeg. Google for free programs to covert a document. Jpeg doc can be rotated and saved. Also views better on a cell phone. All cell phones have jpg software.
You have to use software to look at your PDF scans. I have not seen any sofware that does not have image rotation as an option. Have you looked through the menus? Another almost universal option is cropping. But yes, if you get the image to your liking, you have to “Save” it.
The higher end pieces of software actually retain the original image and really same the changes you made. This is referred to as a “Boxcar” — set of instructions on the changes to make to the original image. If your software does not offer this feature, you might want to create a duplicate of any image you plan on making changes other than rotation.
Thanks. I just tried it but it converted a 10 page pdf to 10 separate files! Maybe a different converter will do it as one file?
I think I mentioned that I did rotate it and save it. But when I open it again, it is not rotated.
I’m using Foxit.
Most scanning software allows you to rotate, and few other editing options. What software you are using to scan?
I’m using a Brother printer. It allows me to rotate. It just doesn’t save it in the rotated position.

Foxit PDF Reader. Which is too short for TMF posts so I have to include this. How long does it have to be? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
That should be long enough 98786543210.
