Just to clarify, this filing shows they sold 11.4665 million additional shares (not the 1.33m in the article). And Berkshire does not own 14.95% of BYD, Berkshire owns 14.95% of one class of stock of BYD.

Berkshire Hathaway Energy owns 5.6% of BYD and Berkshire Hathaway owns 92% of Berkshire Hathaway Energy.
BHE started with 225m shares and is now down to 164.093m shares, they have sold about 60.9 million shares this year.
