The Greek shipping brokers seem to take a break during and after Easter. But, it seems they are back this week. Leaning on Advanced Shipping and Trading this week.

- Newbuilds is the interesting segment with 35 - 40 orders, including 14 VLCCs + 4 options
Among the new orders, a 2 + 2 VLCC order from JP Morgan. My guess, this is an opportunistic deal. With the “new” entity in the tanker space - Sinokor + Aponte collaboration, there is a good outlet if they want to sell. That’s in addition to other players e.g. trading entities Trafigura, Mercuria, etc and tanker companies - ECO, DHT, FRO, etc. Whether JP Morgan gets a good return on their investment in a couple of years is a separate issue.
