Skechers (SKX) incredibly good interview

Jim Cramer did a nine minute interview yesterday with the CEO/Chairman and the CFO/COO of Skechers. This isn’t Cramer blabbing away, this is Skechers management being interviewed. If you have any interest in Skechers, you MUST watch this!

Yes, excellent interview. Both the CEO and the CFO sound very calm and are knowing what they are doing. I was impressed with their prediction about growth in China. This is an interview that strongly supports the thesis of 20% or more growth in EPS for the long run in SKX.

Looks like the interview was good enough for an almost 5% pop this morning. Not too shabby!

Watched it - The only thing that I found a little unnerving was that it appeared that Greenberg was not wearing Skechers shoes. I hope I’m not right about that, I’m certainly not aware of every shoe they make, but his shoes looked like the standard businessman’s footwear. Leather Oxfords or something like that.

Yeh - Oxfords not Brogues. You might want to watch Kingsman if you need to catch up on gentlemen’s attire.

Absolutely loved how the CEO said:

“We believe the best Christmas gift we can give OUR INVESTORS is continued long term growth over the next 5 years.”

That puts me in the Christmas spirit!

I found it interesting that they pointed out the large price gap between them and Nike, Adidas, etc and indicated they are slowly raising prices, which “is a comfortable way to grow”, but they also are being careful not to honk off their customers.

Also, was that Bernie Sanders? “THERE ARE TOO MANY SHOES IN THIS STORE! WE HAVE TO BREAK THEM UP, EVERYBODY GETS ONE FREE SHOE!”

If we are discussing the sartorial side, very old men (even if they sell gym stuff) should wear suits and ties. Trying to look bouncy and virile when you are 128 is a mistake.
