Something else working Proles will need to put up with

That sounds like all my “old” hunting partners, they have gone off the rails.

Since Eve lived before Abraham, the father of Judaism as a religion, you can’t say Eve was Jewish.

It goes beyond the rhetoric. The candy is being dolled out. The demographic, along with the family members around them, are the largest group of people.

Wink, you can say anything. And not only does the Telly do so but so does the Bible.

What better way to divide and conquer than to put religion in the workplace?

Yup. Those who conform “straight, white, Christian, men”, ie “the base”, get all the goodies. Everyone else is either driven out of the country, or marginalized.

Besides all the proofs of citizenship I have accumulated, I still have the Bible inscribed to me by the Baptist lodge in Kalamazoo in 58. Good evangelical, fundy, Christian bona fides there. No help at the Catholic pump seal company tho.

Abraham had Eve’s genes.

Yep that is why I always say that Jews and Muslims are just brothers from another mother.

Genes aren’t Jewish or religious. It’s a religion that can be adopted by anyone who believes in the tenets.

I can’t wait! I used to enjoy chatting up well dressed youngsters who would knock on my door. It didn’t take long before they scurried away, confused and questioning their religion.

Now Sidney Sweeny has the genes.

HA HA! Another one in a continuing series of people changing the subject.

  1. Schnozzy (house rule apparently…?) law has no power here. It defines nothing.
  2. Also it does not counter anything I said in my above post regarding
“genes” vs “religion” and Eve vis a vis Abraham

What did what’s his name say back in the 90’s: People listen, not with the intent to understand but with the intent to merely respond. I know you have “better game” than this. I read you all the time and rec you a lot.

No gerrymandering required. It’s been half a century since the state elected a Dem senator and 45 years since a Dem governor was elected. Senators and the governor are statewide elections with no gerrymandering possible. It clearly has been a conservative state for decades.

DB2

Maps are drawn for state legislature and congressional voting. Congressional gerrymandering gets an F.

Claiming gerrymandering isn’t a problem by citing statewide election results is bold.

The y chromosomes can be Jewish

Not in the sense of religious

Jews generally don’t proslytize. Very few Jews have non ethnic y chromosomes

Yes.. That is correct. Chromosomes do not contain religion. Nor can they convert upon having a “Road to Tarsus” experience. This is IAW my post. What are you talking about?

Gerrymandering may well be a problem there. I don’t know Utah. It certainly happens every ten years in Illinois (by the opposite party than in Utah). What I was pointing out is that state-wide elections show that Utah is a conservative state and has been for decades.

DB2

Yes, it is a very conservative state. Voter registration reveals that:

However, there are almost 600,000 unaffiliated. And the state has split Salt Lake City (one of the most liberal populations in the state) into several districts in such a way to dilute their votes.

Utah Proposition 4 was a ballot measure narrowly approved as part of the 2018 Utah elections. The proposition created by statute an independent redistricting commission in the state, a measure to avoid gerrymandering.

Then the state legislature just said no, too bad. Then the State Supreme Court told the legislature they couldn’t override the vote on the initiative. Not sure where this will end up but it seems very undemocratic of the Republican controlled legislature to try to change the rules after the vote.

I think without the gerrymandering we would have a good chance of having at least one Dem Representative.

I hate gerrymandering regardless of which party is doing it. Do you really think it’s a good way to draw districts?

This article talks about ways to draw districts that would be far fairer.
