Tesla goes driverless in Las Vegas

Fine print:

  • In 1-2 months
  • Driverless may not mean unsupervised (games with words)
  • In Boring Company tunnels

This means they must be really close to unsupervised driving across large metro areas (or maybe not?).

Some comments:
“Very reputable source, he’s never led us astray before /s”
“Aren’t Robotaxi vehicles expected to become driverless in a month or two?”
“Full FSD by the end of year, Man on Mars by 2020”
“Does driverless mean a safety monitor in the front passenger seat? Or actual driverless?”
“Wow they’ll be able to run a predetermined route within a completely controlled environment? Truly proving a $1,500,000,000,000 valuation”
“Operating driverless = driver behind the wheel on FSD”
“I’ll celebrate progress, not announcements of future progress.”

I bolded my favorite comment.

Big picture: Tesla was $50B market cap company 6 years ago. Today it is $1.5T market cap. Robotaxi and Cybercab is coming.

I just took a flyer (2.5% position) on tsdd (TSLA inverse x2). Sooo much 4th quarter sales were pulled into 3rd quarter, creating record sales, all while profits and income fell. 4th quarter could be very ugly.

So many shorts have been destroyed. They never learn. One more will bite the dust soon.

It’s too early to pat myself on the back, but my TSDD is now up 15.5% today; TSLA broke below $400. Sitting on a marginal gain - softening the losses in the rest of the market.
