Tesla's looking more and more like a scam

Yes. I’m sure buying a new Tesla is a more streamlined experience. It’s harder to get information on a used one. And now Tesla is telling you they don’t qualify for the tax credit, even though the tax credits are still the law and it will take a minimum of 6 months for Trump to change anything regarding the tax credits.

More likely they are telling you that they won’t process the tax credit and that if you want it, you need to claim it on your tax return for that year.

You need to buy from a licensed dealer registered with the IRS to qualify for the $4,000 tax credit. The dealer needs to provides the buyer with a time of sale report which will have information such as dealer name, address, VIN, make, model, placed in service date, and maximum credit, which is the document you need to file for the tax credit on your own.

Could you trust Tesla to provide that documentation? Since it’s so hard to get any information out of them, I’d say it’s a crap shoot.

I haven’t been very impressed with my “Tesla experience” so far. {{ LOL }}
