Elon haters are a sad bunch

I am pro X. Why would anyone want to own Tesla?

Because I do not own any shares I do not have losses.

I do not hate Musk. I do not think he is to blame for valuing a car company like a car company.

I would buy X but alasā€¦not to be. The good stuff is private.

This kind of Elon apologetics just cracks me up.

The reason why the Giga Texas extension is delayed is because they are waiting for the contractor to build a tunnel underneath the facility before the floor of the datacenter can be laid.

The contractor responsible for the delays is the Boring Company, which is also run by Musk.

Interesting to see the toxic mix of woke politics and oil economy forces coming together.

I donā€™t know what that is, but it sounds cool.

Some just donā€™t like megalomaniacs. A lot of people find them extremely off-putting. I know, I know, I must be a Musk Hater. Maybe I just want him to be better.

The south extension of Giga Texas is almost complete. This will house 50k H100s for FSD training.

Only if they get the chipsā€¦

Why, Obssesed wih Musk ?

Hard to see how that behavior satisfies Muskā€™s fiduciary duty to Tesla as CEO.

I see another expensive trip to the Delaware Court of Chancery, the nationā€™s preeminent venue for sorting out that kind of chicanery.

Why is that Nvidiaā€™s fault? They donā€™t have a fiduciary duty to Tesla. Nvidia has a duty to its own shareholders by keeping a large customer (i.e., Musk) happy.

Iā€™ve been watching the used Tesla Model Y AWD on their website. Theyā€™re getting closer to my $25,000 trigger point for the $4,000 tax credit on the purchase price.

Pretty amazing that the MRSP on that car was over $60,000 when new. Always best to find someone thatā€™s poor at arithmetic to pay the first couple of years of depreciation. {{ LOL }}

Nope, but given that my tax dollars have gone to fund his companies, I have a vested interest in seeing him not act like a doucher.

The Greens trying to shut down Tesla in GrĆ¼nheide.

My understanding is that they are not trying to shut down Tesla. They are trying to stop it from mowing down an old-growth forest to expand the plant. Tesla itself is the one that shut down, telling workers to work from home (how an auto assembly plant does that is a mystery to me, but there you have it.)

There were no protests when the plant was operating, only when it announced plans to chop down a large part of a forest. (A few nutters have joined the protest with irrelevant causes such as ā€œPalestineā€ or ā€œcapitalismā€, but they are a tiny fringe of a tiny fringe, ad can safely be ignored.)

Safely ignore ARSON?

Last quarter, Tesla had to shut down and reduce production at Gigafactory Berlin for very serious reasons.

The former was due to an arson attack from so-called environmentalists, and the latter was due to supply chain issues related to the Red Sea conflict.

The moment someone uses the word ā€œtoxicā€ I know they have a subscription to Cosmo Magazine.

Or they are seeing a really crappy psychologist. Imagine the non woke shrinky dink.

None of us are ā€œobssesedā€ with Musk. We are discussing business. Do you mind? We are having a conversation.

Musk is an angry divorcee. This is what his working at home looks like. He is in mode. He is consistent. You need to admit that.

I assume there is a responsibility to fill orders as they are received and/or otherwise honor contracts as they were signed. In this case, take Musk out of the picture. If NVDA signed a contract to deliver supplies to GM (and I was a stockholder of GM), I would be still not like it if NVDA allowed an unrelated company to jump the line. As a stockholder, NVDAs decision could have an impact on my holdings.

I really want to agree with you, but I donā€™t.

You canā€™t take Musk out of the picture in this case because heā€™s running both companies. The companies are related. If it were two independent companies, one losing their chips to the other, Iā€™d agree with you.

Letā€™s chalk it up to another reason why itā€™s a bad idea having the same CEO and weak governance over companies competing for the same access to technology. One companyā€™s shareholders/investors will get fidooshed.
