Somehow the actual, fully detailed, more complex truths of the universe are always more gorgeous than our anciently inherited, brilliant but limited models of the past.
I knew about those gorgeous corkscrewing dancers, but seeing them was wondrous.

That’s a frame of reference problem. If you look at it from the Earth or the Sun, all the planets are orbiting in the same plane (i.e., the ecliptic).
If you look at our solar system from the center of the galaxy, then you get the corkscrew motion.

An interesting addition is that the entire universe may be spinning, at least that’s one theory astrophysicists are pursuing.
That comes from the fact that 2/3 of all planetary systems found so far are spinning in clockwise formation. If the universe were truly motionless and planetary groupings began randomly, you would expect there to be a 50/50 split. It is only when they add a spin to the universe in their models that they can account for a disproportionate number of planetary spins one way vs the other works out.
They are quick to say there could be another reason, but they hdon’t know what that could be.
