The SailingDev’s Portfolio end of July 2024
Apologies for the late monthly update. I’ve been on vacation, relaxing and having fun, which, thankfully, has kept me from checking my portfolio too often. 
In July, my performance lagged behind the S&P by a significant margin, as was likely the case for many of us.
Since I missed taking a snapshot on July 31st, I had to put in some extra work with my spreadsheet to gather accurate data for the past month, causing further delays.

I continued trimming this position until I eventually closed it. My timing was impeccable, as I managed to sell right before it started to decline. It ended July down 16%, likely due to the tech and AI pullback.
$ELF
I trimmed this position a bit (as I had planned) and then bought back in at lower prices. However, I was a way too timid about it. I like ELF too much, so it’s hard for me to sell. I found their products at a few Douglas stores here in Sardinia, Italy. There was a lot of interest, mostly from teenagers. My girlfriend tried several products and she likes them.

I closed this position after earnings, but it happened in August, so it’s still reflected in the July snapshot.

I’ve had this on my wishlist for a while, and with the recent pullback, I started adding.
