At furnace creek they have a stream that runs year round that fills the pools. Even in the winter time the stream is warm. It is a unique place that is really nice in the winter time.

In 1946 my parents honeymooned by making a winter ascent of Mt Whitney and then recovered by taking the warm waters at “Scottys Castle” at Furnace Creek.
A glorious wonderful place. As is the entirety of California’s Sierra Nevada and adjacent deserts.
