Somebody or Other: Fools Rush In!
After about 6 minutes of intense consideration, calculation and ponderation on those two quotes/sayings, whatever…it appears they are in direct opposition and represent something of a dilemma, to wit: Is adding here rushing in - or might it just be being greedy when others are fearful.
What to do - What to do?
I suppose the absolute best avenue for the day might be to hit the ball right down the middle of the fairway - which is also tricky as I have always had a weird slice of sorts that I remedy by teeing at a 45 degree angle to fair play. But how does that apply to this bad, awful, rotten, depressing state of Stock Market events? Well…thats almost simple, sorta. I decided that I would not fully rush in: Nor would I be completely be Greedy. In fact I decided to sacrifice MELI - great company that is - and combine it with another 5% of the cash I have on hand for just such events. Then - spread the funds around the portfolio in the exact same percentages that each roster position had dropped; which sounded fairly simple as a remotely genuine plan. So I did so in as much as the mood moved me.
Leaves me with about 20% cash, give or take, and leaves me feeling less than helpless as we fall into the apparently bottomless pit of Market Corrections and potential Bear Markets.
