While we’re taking about fake scientific papers. Washington State has an interesting case of " fake candidates" on the ballot, which is illegal in the State

2 Democratic candidates named Bob Ferguson withdraw from WA governor's race

A “right wing activist” is the campaign manager for the two additional “Bobs”.

A threat of prosecution on a Class B Felony caused both of the Bobs to withdraw their names from the ballot. {{ LOL }}

If the other two “Bobs” were true believers, they would keep the issue tied up in court until after the election.

Maybe the “2 Bobs” didn’t believe that the “right-wing activist” would reimburse their legal defense costs? It may have sounded like a good idea until they realized
it was going to cost them money.
