It looks like The Trade Desk is being added to the S&P 500, replacing Ansys which is being acquired by another company.
I had noted in my monthly portfolio updates back in August and September last year that TTD was probably one of the top candidates to be added to the S&P 500. Over the past year, I was starting to wonder if I was mistaken.
The stock is up about +15% in the pre market

It looks like APP has been overlooked again.
But, no worries, I’m looking forward to their next ER when I expect they’ll report great numbers and forward guidance as they look forward to the self serve dashboard and Ecom and CTV getting wider adoption.

Hoping this bump helps me decide to unload my smallish position. Was down over 50% but hadn’t immediately needed the cash and hadn’t seen any devastating news. Just pretty sure this is a category I don’t understand well enough to invest in.
Today’s volatility allows me a bit more ‘options’ as you might say on what to do with this. But is no longer a permanent place in my port.
(I think I only violated two rules of sauldom with those thoughts.

Yeh I’m looking to sell down into strength to add to APP myself. I had previously top sliced around $125 so whilst not enjoying the share price decimation, I can live with it. I also still happen to think TTD is an exceptional franchise.
