I think you are accepting our propaganda and wishful thinking. That is not the real Russia.
The biggest household expenditure in any household below the two 2% in the US or Russia is food. With the ruble depreciating and at risk again food is problematic.
If the sanctions work and Russian wheat cannot be sold on the international market, the world price of wheat is irrelevant. Russian rubles will buy Russian bread at Russian prices.
Those who buy domestic products should be fine. But those who continue to buy products imported from the West will pay a big price.
Sanctions once again close the iron curtain. Russia will be isolated. Its back to the old Soviet days from 40 years ago. Plenty in Russia have experience with that and know how to deal with it.
You can get whatever you want on the Black market, but yes you will have to pay big bucks for it.
Once again the ruble becomes a soft currency. Hard currency will be available but expensive.
