Ukraine left turning, slowly, in the wind

OK, but then they shouldn’t complain if they can’t find a outlet for their oil or natural gas.

Montana is in the US. I thought the Canadians wanted the pipeline, no?

Pete

I agree and that is why they built the pipeline to Victoria. They were having problems getting it built because of the greens but they pushed it through.

Uhm, they should not complain about the failure of O&G&pipeline interests not building the pipeling, but Absolutely Should Complain and PONDER how democratic governance has been overwhelmed by poor information and incentives leading to the bad outcome…. Unless they are happily electric only greens, themselves part of the problem and breakdown.

Very soon irreversible, if not already there. The house and senate HAS to get a backbone NOW. Waiting for 2026 is too late. Lets show the rest of the world that this model of gov’t, with all it’s checks and balances, can work.

Since the Keystone XL pipeline was stalled and then canceled, the Canadians (or at least some of them) realized they needed another outlet for their Alberta oil. The obvious route was west to the Pacific. There was a lot of resistance, but eventually it did get built.

The Canadians also didn’t (and still don’t) have a natural gas liquefaction plant to ship LNG overseas or a pipeline to supply said plant if it were built. There was going to be a project in Quebec, but the Greens shot it down.

I think some Canadians like to pretend that their country is not a petro-state.

Yep. That way the Russians can sell all their energy product only to China and India … at substantially lower prices. That will help those two huge and growing economies better compete with Europe and North America.

Democrats are getting angrier.

Republicans are getting scared.

Well they are already buying Tehran’s oil. So maybe we lift those sanctions also?

Confusing isn’t it? The country that was invaded is required to make all the concessions and pay all the costs, and that country’s bargaining position is made weaker by withdrawal of material support and intelligence.

Now, war refugees from that country are being tossed out of Shiny-land.

Maybe Democrats should go with them

We will see who is going to go. People like you can’t handle the heat.

Not if you’re paying attention. Allowing Russia back into the G7, denying UN resolutions condemning Russia, and on and on and on. It’s like TFG is Putin’s biznatch.

Of course he is. He even gave up everything to Russia before negotiations started with Ukraine.

When someone tells you who they are believe them.

Dems emphasized far left policies turning off midwest voters. Border policy was terrible. Unions like tariffs.

Maybe they will get their act together and win more elections next time. But don’ t hold your breath. Far left policies are firmly entrenched.

Now the Republicans are emphasizing far right policies turning off everyone but the far right.
