Yeah Josh Shapiro showed his face this morning. He sounds like Maddow.

Amazing how elites do not care what happens to everyone else. Just talk power over people.

You want news? 30k people yearly will die with little or no medical coverage causing their deaths. Maddow is a no show.

I am against the violence. I will repeat that, I am against the violence. But as some would say as doctors, “I won’t be shedding any tears”. Thompson did not shed any tears.

at this point I have heard her full report here. She said nothing about the American people or public. She did not relate their needs. Just the raw power. It is a turn off to think she does not think of the needs out there. But worse than a turn off, she did nothing in that report.

To each his/her own.

I did not see this piece as trying to solve World Peace. It was simply a reporting segment about some of the nominees and their views, which may well lead to their eventual actions when ensconced in their nominated and rather powerful positions.

So we are going to continue to lose elections because we turn a blind eye?

We talk power politics for elite journalists and the powerful and that’s it.

It is a bore for the rest of America. It is a non issue come election time, which boggles my mind but I get it. People do not care if you do not care for them.

BTW the quip about world peace is daft. Look around you. Solving world peace makes more sense than Rachel Maddow worrying about her own behind. You and I can do nothing for world peace. Maddow is doing nothing.

@MataroPete Think to your lessons on FDR and his control over the media discussions. Fox has more of that than any other news outlet. Maddow is a no show. It is the discussion not the audience numbers that matter. That is my bone of contention. It is horrifying to me. Josh Shapiro matters to me because he is the closest to an FDR we have. If this is only going to be a no show…good luck. We will be leaving it all to Fox.

I had forgotten Ted’s peeves.
Here’s what Googles AI tells me:

{ AI Overview

Ted Kaczynski’s manifesto, titled “Industrial Society and Its Future,” primarily argued that the Industrial Revolution and subsequent technological advancements have had a disastrous impact on human society, leading to widespread psychological suffering, environmental destruction, and a loss of individual freedom, advocating for a radical societal shift away from technology and back towards a more natural way of life; essentially claiming that modern technology is inherently harmful and needs to be drastically curtailed to preserve human well-being and the environment.

Key points of the manifesto include:
Technology as the root cause of problems:
Kaczynski believed that the development of advanced technology has created a system that controls and manipulates individuals, leading to alienation and a lack of meaningful existence.

Loss of autonomy:
He argued that modern society forces people to conform to societal norms and expectations, suppressing individual freedom and creativity.

Environmental damage:
Kaczynski highlighted the destructive effects of industrial society on the natural world, including pollution and resource depletion.

Psychological distress:
He claimed that the pressures of modern life contribute to widespread psychological issues like depression and anxiety.

Need for societal collapse:
To address these problems, Kaczynski advocated for a deliberate breakdown of industrial society to allow for a return to a more primitive, nature-based lifestyle. }

Ted was a Luddite?
