US Property Hegemony

You folks prolly remember USians getting their panties in a twist when Japan was buying up US in the 1990’s & the Chinese have and likely still are doing so now. Evil feringers! Say Xenophobia Americans. It’s OK if the US buys up real estate in other nations. We wear the white hats.

Driving Dispossession highlights the United States as a key player in an unfettered offensive to privatize land around the world via US blockchain corporations, government agencies, and the World Bank.

Agriculture in Ukraine happens on a giant scale. Most farming businesses are fully integrated conglomerates owned by billionaire oligarchs, operating their own train networks, fleets of often unmarked trucks and storage facilities around the country.

Ten companies control 71% of the agricultural market in Ukraine, Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) statistics show. In addition to the Ukrainian oligarchy, multinational corporations such as Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Bunge, Cargill, Louis Dreyfus, and the Chinese state-owned company COFCO, are all active players.

Since the new law on the sale of agricultural land passed by the Kiev regime entered into full force approximately one year ago, to this day, the three large multinational consortia financed with US capital have acquired well over a quarter of Ukrainian arable land. A report by the Australian National Review states that the three US corporations managed to acquire 17 out of the 62 million hectares of agricultural land in less than a year. This made it possible for them to control 28% of the total arable land in Ukraine.

It appears the US & the EU have financial interests in conjunction with political-geostrategic goals to weaken Russia. We are not using Ukrainians lives to push US geostrategic goals but using those lives to defend US corporate owned land.
God Bless Corporate Governed America! Follow the money.

Interesting and important facts, thanks.

I think it is more complicated than fighting just to control rich farmlands.

The end of “farming” and the coming of “industrialized agriculture” is an enormous worldwide macro trend that is close to a century old.
