Very small truck, but too small for the US?

Since we are in early storm season here in Houston the Humongous F-150’s are out in full force. Not sure why folks buy these things. Surely they are not all roofing contractors. They have their fun when the streets are flooded making waves like the Titanic. You need an extension ladder to get into one.

I was happy with my Ranger when I had it. Went to many, many tailgates at the Texans games. Season tickets for about 15 years until I found out it was easier and cheaper to watch the games on TV. Also climbing the stadium ramps before and after games became a little too much.

I posted this somewhere, maybe here, I forget. A mile or two from my house a guy has this in his driveway, it never moves. One day I stopped to ask about it because it’s the cutest damn van I’ve ever seen. Turns out it’s a ‘95 Dihatsu. Adorable!

He loves it, doesn’t use it much, and no, it’s not for sale.

When I was growing up in the 1960’s, a neighbor had one of these Subaru Sambar 360 minivans.

I pretty sure the top speed was only about 50 mph

Remember the Subaru Brat ? A friend had one, when we were 17-18 years old. Had sooooo much fun in that thing, lucky to be alive type fun. That was a great, cheap vehicle.

Mercedes mechanic friend of mine had one of these for years. Spread his love in it. LOL

Where I live they are used to tow boats on the weekend.

Not very small (even though they call it a microbus), but this looks very interesting and will supposedly be available next year:

As a novelty vehicle (at first), a high price is no surprise. However, I expect the price to fall significantly once the “gotta have one NOW” group of buyers has acquired one, played with it, and then moved on to “the next thing”.
