…and cemented distrust and even intense hatred for the USA in many places (e.g. Iraq) where the USA once was sometimes respected and admired, and where extremists only had a presence but now have a dominant role in an ongoingly corrupt near anarchy.
In concert with Mitch McConnel he also used the G W. Bush administration as means to radically accelerate and undermine the restraints and balances within the Federal government, paving the way for the increasing heedlessness we now see in the government shutdown and collapse of respect for the high juciciary.
However, he did raise a couple of upright daughters I disagree with frequently but admire..
