Russia borders Ukraine on the east. They moved significant troops into Belarus to attack Ukraine from the north. There’s evidence that Russia plans to use Russian troops based in the Transnistria province of Moldova to attack Ukraine from the west.

**Explosions on Monday shook Transnistria, a Russia-aligned breakaway region of Moldova that borders Ukraine, and the local government said a security agency building in the region’s capital, Tiraspol, had possibly been attacked using grenade launchers....**
**Transnistria, which hosts hundreds of Russian troops and has a large ethnic Russian population, occupies a strategically important spot on Ukraine’s western flank, reaching within about 25 miles of Ukraine’s chief port city, Odesa.**
**On Friday, a Russian general said one of Moscow’s current aims in Ukraine is to establish “yet another point of access” to Transnistria, a claim that echoed Ukrainian fears that Russia wants to seize Ukraine’s entire Black Sea coast, including Odesa, linking itself to Transnistria. ...**

It’s possible that the “attack” in Transnistria was a Russian “false flag provocation” which the Russians could blame on Ukraine for and excuse to attack. (As if they need one.) Russia has been shelling Ukrainian rail hubs all day.
At the same time, large fires tore through oil depots on Monday in Bryansk, a Russian city less than 100 miles from the Ukrainian border that is a key logistical hub in Russia’s war effort. No word yet on how that happened.

The war was only days old when Lukashenko was showing a map showing Russia overrunning all of Ukraine and Moldova.
If Putin had gotten his demand that Romania and Bulgaria leave NATO, they would be in his sights too.

Explosions in the Transnistria region near Moldova…
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/apr/26/moldova-holds-…
On Tuesday morning, local authorities said that two antennas carrying Russian radio broadcasts had been blown up, the second episode of violence reported in the enclave in as many days after unknown attackers shelled the region’s state security ministry in Tiraspol with a handgrenade launcher on Monday.
Looking at the map, this area of Moldova is close to Odessa. Now that Russia controls the Sea of Azov to the east (Mariupol), Putin might want to completely cut off Ukraine from Black Sea access to the west of Crimea, which would include taking Odessa.

A commenter on the news suggested it was a false flag operation to allow Putin to say he is going in defense of Transnistria to divert Ukrainian forces away from Donbas. The fog of war!
